The neighborhood of Bajo Flores in Buenos Aires is a multicultural boiling pot. In the populous shantytown Villa 1-11-14, Latin American immigrants strive to progress under the shadow of drug dealers. The Villa borders Buenos Aires Korea Town, a country in miniature where even signs are in Korean. The Korean community is mainly engaged in the textile industry and employs immigrants from the neighboring Villa in their clandestine workshops. This story is based on a real event that took place in October 2005: “The Massacre of the Lord of Miracles”. Two bands of Peruvian narcos in dispute over territorial control open fire during a religious procession killing five innocents, including two members of a young Korean family recently emigrated. Ten years later, Crystal – a twenty-year-old survivor of the massacre – runs the family textile workshop associated with Henri, a seductive and industrious Peruvian, who opens the gate to a revenge that Crystal is not ready to perform, but feels the obligation to try.
